1. Leave your bandage on for 4-5 days. It is completely normal to see some plasma build up! If the bandage starts to peel up enough to leak before it has been 4-5 days, or you notice any redness/skin irritation developing along the perimeter of the bandage, please follow these next few steps.
2. Always wash your hands prior to touching your tattoo!! When you’re ready to remove the bandage, SLOWLY peel off the bandage under warm running water, stretching the bandage away from the direction of the tattoo, rather than ripping it like a bandaid.
3. Wash your tattoo at least 2-3 times daily with an antibacterial, fragrance-free soap. I highly recommend Dial Gold Antibacterial Liquid Hand Soap. Never use bar soap on your healing tattoo.
4. After washing, apply a very thin layer of fragrance free lotion 2-3 times daily for the first few days. Rub it in like lotion, if it looks wet after applying, dab with a paper towel to remove excess lotion.
5. Do not submerge the tattoo in bodies of water such as bathtubs, rivers, lakes, hot tubs, pools, etc. for 2 weeks minimum.
6. Avoid direct sunlight on the tattoo for the first few days.
7. Do not scratch, peel or pick at your new tattoo! This may cause infection, irritation and/or delayed healing resulting in a poorly healed tattoo.
